Our passion is in the design-build journey
We are a family design-build team, building is apart of who we are. We have built over 60 homes with some of the most amazing clients. Each job with its own story and its own process and its own style. The Design Built Home project is our way of sharing this journey with you from start to finish (even though it is already finished). It includes our tips and tricks on building topics, favorite products.
From running a design team to construction crews, and all things family. We are excited to share all things behind the scenes of our design-build life.

Growing up in construction, we knew that we wanted our kids to learn as much about what we are doing and why. They are just as much a part of our build as the build itself. I am excited to be able to reflect on these sweet moments and all the work that went into our build.
Day one of the design-build
We kicked off this day in May, by celebrating the little things. We finally grubbed the lot and surveyed the elevation for the foundation heights. Spring decided to show up late this year, and it snowed four times in April. We decided to wait a few more weeks before we felt completely ready to excavate. The weather set us back a month more than we had hoped and did not want to risk a late frost. Nothing is worse than an unexpected freeze on a new dig or, even worse, freshly poured concrete. Well, there are worse things, but a late freeze was one we didn’t want to worry about and something we could avoid on this design-build.
What drives us
Building homes is part of our everyday lives. We have built homes with clients over the past 15 years and shared in their design-build journey daily. Our favorite part that keeps us building is the people. We get to meet and work for and, most importantly, that we get to do what we love as a family. We love our construction family, including talented suppliers and subs who make our builds great.
